Tree roots enter joints and collect debris in residential sewer lines
Why it happens here
Established trees in landscaped Whittwood yards can grow toward moisture and enter small gaps at pipe joints. Once inside, roots catch paper and waste, gradually narrowing the opening. Clearing can restore flow, but the camera needs to locate the entry point to show why the problem recurs.
Our approach
We inspect the line and record the location of visible roots, nearby joints, and any change in pipe condition. If the camera cannot pass the blockage, we explain what remains unseen and discuss clearing before another inspection. We recommend repair only when the footage supports that conversation.
